New Mega-Coulter Vertical Tillage System

Harper, Kansas - Green Line, Inc., manufacturer of BIG-G brand tillage equipment, introduces the Mega-Coulter Vertical Tillage System for crop residue management. The Mega-Coulter, available in sizes from 20' to 40', utilizes two ranks of 22" diameter coulters to prepare and level fall tilled soil or to dry out and warm wet no-till fields for earlier planting. When no-till conditions are dry, the Mega-Coulter loosens and fluffs soil for better no-till planting performance. With an average of 500 lbs. per ft. of cut width, the Mega-Coulter provides ample weight for soil penetration and residue cutting.

Coulters are spaced 10" apart for an effective 5" spacing and are available in 13 wave, smooth or a combination of smooth and waved. A unique weight transfer system transfers weight from the center frame to the wings for uniform weight distribution. Coulter gangs are mounted on heavy-duty C-Arm bearing hangers to absorb shock from rocks. Massive 2" diameter gang shafts and self-aligning, triple lip sealed bearings assure a rugged, durable gang assembly.

Mega-Coulter's come standard with 8-bolt hubs on the center and wings. The 30' and 40' Models feature 12.5L x 15FI rated 12-ply tires for maximum performance. GSM nylon inserts in the rocker bearings reduce friction and eliminate greasing for ease of maintenance. Folding models are designed for efficient road transport including a five section 40' unit with a low 14' 6" transport height.
